Features & readings

Carmina is available as a feature act, whether in London, throughout the UK, or further afield at both one-off events and festivals.

Editing & proofreading

With nearly two decades of industry experience within poetry publishing and performance, copy/content writing experience, as well as working in a wide variety of educational settings, Carmina can provide a bespoke editing and proofreading service. Specialising in poetry and the particularly work that is for both the page and the stage, she can also offer copy edits of fiction up to 5000 words.

This process consists of making notes on your poems for feedback, which will then be covered as part of an editorial process in a meeting (either online or in-person). Whether you have one or two poems, or a whole manuscript, Carmina would be happy to help with a collaborative approach that honours what you would like to achieve through your writing.

Poems should ideally be sent formatted A5 via email. You can expect this service to include edits based on wording, line breaks, formatting for single poems, as well as suggestions for ordering and structure for pamphlets and collections.

Mentoring: professional & creative development one-to-one sessions

With nearly two decades of experience as a poet, and self-employed/freelance since 2017, Carmina is able to offer one-to-one sessions on professional and creative development, whether you would like support and advice on the practical side of being a poet. This process can be offered online or face-to-face (in London or at an extra cost).

This mentoring process is recommended on a monthly basis from two months to a year, which includes editing, but offers a more in depth process to fine tune your show and/or publication. As part of this service, it will also include ways to push your craft, thoughts on your poetic practice, and advice for submissions, next-steps and goal-setting.

Events production & programming

Whether you have a one-off event, or a week-long festival, Carmina is able to programme and manage a range of events, as well as to cater to hour long activities as part of wider programmes due to her experience of running regular events, touring, and running a festival with She Grrrowls.

Workshop facilitation

Carmina offers workshops to both adults and children. She loves to inspire younger generations to embrace literature and offer positive messages about life. She enjoys working with adults at all levels of their writing, whether you’re looking for an alternative activity for a party, or you’re searching for a new tutor for your organisation.

Voiceovers

Carmina is currently looking for voiceover work, having narrated some poems in the audiobook of the She Grrrowls anthology.

Interviews

Carmina is available for interviews for print and online publications, as well as television and radio.

Collaborations

Carmina enjoys collaborating with other artists, whether musicians, visual artists, or other writers.
